Tool inputs
Serial numbers, ZIP codes, repair prices and pasted quotes are processed in your browser. Your browser may remember your last ZIP code (local storage) so you don't retype it; clearing site data removes it.
Quotes you choose to share
If you tick the box to add a quote to the local price data, we store: the system, size, price, the first three digits of your ZIP code, the quote date, which standard line items were included, and whether you pasted or uploaded it. We do not store names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or company names. Shared quotes are only ever shown as area statistics (count, median and middle range) once five or more exist for an area and system. We keep shared quote data for up to five years.
Uploads
When photo or document reading is available, the file is sent to our reading service, the numbers are extracted, and the file is deleted immediately after. We don't keep the image or document.
Analytics and ads
We use Google Analytics to count visits and tool use (for example, that a decode ran for a brand, not the serial). In the European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland, analytics and ad storage default to denied. Display ad partners may use cookies under their own policies.
Phone calls
If you call a number shown on the site, the call is routed by our referral partner under its privacy policy. We receive call counts and durations, not your number.
